This Privacy Policy describes how The Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (“KCSOO,” “the Society”) and the Institute for International Medicine (“INMED,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide through the Society’s website (“the Site”), membership programs, events, and related services. INMED serves as the Society’s administrative and management organization and may collect, access, process, and maintain information on behalf of the Society for membership administration, event management, communications, financial processing, and operational support.

By using our website or engaging with the Society, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Administrative Services
The Society contracts with INMED to provide administrative and management services. Information collected through the Society’s website, membership applications, event registrations, and communications may be stored and processed by systems operated by or on behalf of INMED. Such information is used solely for Society and INMED operational purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Voluntary Disclosure of Personal Information
Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.
The Site and our Services may provide forms that allow you to request information, participate in conferences as an attendee or exhibitor, or communicate with KCSOO and INMED. You may choose not to complete these forms; however, certain Services may not be available without the requested information.

Membership Information
Membership dues and event fees may be paid through third-party payment providers, including PayPal, or by check.
The Society does not store or retain credit card or other payment card information. Payment information is processed directly by the applicable payment provider and is subject to that provider’s privacy and security practices.
Use and Sharing of Personal Information
The Society and INMED may use the personal information for the following purposes:
- To process, manage, and maintain memberships
- To collect membership dues and event fees
- To process attendee and exhibitor registrations and related transactions

Membership Directory
KCSOO and INMED may maintain a membership directory that includes certain member information, such as name, credentials, specialty, practice affiliation, and contact information.
Directory information may be made available to Society members and authorized Society leadership for professional networking, organizational, and membership-related purposes.
Member Portal
If the Society offers a member login area, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. The Society takes reasonable measures to protect member account information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sharing of Information
The Society does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

- INMED personnel and contractors providing administrative, technology, membership, financial, communications, and event-management services
